Astronaut

I was trying to depict the song “Astronaut” by Amanda Palmer. Its basically a dramatic love story where one of the lovers dies in a crashing space shuttle. Amanda Palmer described a scene where the girl sees debris from the crash falling around her. That scene is what inspired me to have the hands holding a helmet and seeing a crashing spaceship in the reflection. The image started as just a photo of my friend’s hands holding the helmet and I edited in the other image using photoshop CS3. Woot!
